Another major construction milestone is underway at the Breakwater Build!

What started as an empty waterfront lot following demolition has transformed into an impressive two-story structure. The team at Talica Design | Build continues making significant progress on this custom coastal home, with concrete block walls reaching their planned heights in key areas and crews now installing the wooden roof trusses.

Our latest aerial drone photography captures the exciting transformation, showcasing the home's structural framework, architectural layout, and beautiful waterfront setting.

From the Foundation to the Roofline

Every successful custom home begins with careful planning and a strong foundation.

The Breakwater Build has already passed through several major construction phases, including demolition, site preparation, excavation, concrete footer installation, and the concrete slab pour.

Now, the home's concrete masonry walls have risen, defining its two-story layout and bringing the overall design into focus.

Large window openings, elevated living areas, and the home's structural features are becoming increasingly visible as construction moves forward.

For anyone following the project from the beginning, the transformation is remarkable. What was once a cleared construction site is quickly becoming a beautiful waterfront residence.

Roof Truss Installation: A Major Construction Milestone

One of the most exciting developments at the Breakwater Build is the installation of the wooden roof trusses.

As shown in our latest aerial photographs, construction crews are carefully positioning and securing the roof framing above the concrete block structure.

Roof trusses are an essential component of residential construction. They create the structural framework that supports the roof system while helping establish the home's final roofline and architectural appearance.

This phase requires precise coordination to ensure the framing is properly positioned, aligned, connected, and secured according to the approved construction plans.

With portions of the roof framing now in place, the Breakwater Build is beginning to show the distinctive shape of its future finished design.

Building a Custom Waterfront Home in Coastal Florida

Building along Florida's waterfront presents unique considerations that require thoughtful design, experienced project management, and attention to structural details.

Coastal construction involves planning for environmental exposure, wind loads, material selection, drainage, and applicable Florida Building Code requirements.

At Talica Design | Build, our approach focuses on coordinating every phase of construction, from the earliest design discussions to structural work and final finishes.

The Breakwater Build is a great example of how a carefully managed, ground-up construction project progresses from an initial vision to a fully realized custom home.

Its waterfront setting provides an incredible backdrop as the structure continues taking shape.

A Home Built on a Foundation of Faith

One of the most meaningful moments in the Breakwater Build's journey happened during the original concrete footer pour.

A Bible was placed within the foundation, symbolizing faith, strength, protection, and the importance of building on a solid foundation.

As the walls rise and the roof framing takes shape, that special moment remains part of the home's story.

This project represents more than concrete, masonry, and lumber. It represents the process of turning a vision into a place that will eventually become someone's home.

What's Next for the Breakwater Build?

With the masonry structure standing and roof truss installation progressing, the project continues moving toward another exciting stage.

Upcoming construction phases are expected to include completing the roof framing, installing roof sheathing, advancing the roofing system, and preparing for subsequent exterior and interior construction work.

Each completed milestone brings this waterfront custom home one step closer to its finished appearance.

We'll continue sharing aerial drone photography, behind-the-scenes construction updates, and project milestones as the Breakwater Build progresses.
